ACA International-
The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals

The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals is an international trade organization of credit and debt collection professionals that provides a variety of accounts receivable management like debt recovery and commercial debt collection services to over one million credit grantors. Headquartered in Minneapolis, ACA serves members in the United States, Canada and 55 other countries worldwide.

  
 Association of Financial Professionals
The Association for Financial Professionals in Bethesda, Maryland, supports more than 14,000 individual members from a wide range of industries i.e. Collection Agencies and debt collection agencies throughout all stages of their careers in various aspects of treasury and financial management. AFP is the preferred resource for financial professionals for continuing education, financial tools and publications, career development, certifications, research, representation to legislators and regulators, and the development of industry standards.


Commercial Collection Agency Association
The Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA), with over 110 member agencies, represents the most prestigious commercial debt collection agencies in the United States. The CCAA works to elevate the standards of the commercial debt collections industry by providing educational, legislative, promotional and administrative services to its members.

Commercial Law League of America
The Commercial Law League of America (CLLA) is North America's Leading organization of collections, creditors' rights and bankruptcy professionals. Founded in 1895, the CLLA has nearly 5,000 members in the United States as well as in dozens of countries abroad. Its membership consists of attorneys who concentrate their practice in commercial law, commercial debt collections, the Uniform Commercial Code and bankruptcy and reorganization. In addition, over 500 individuals who are employed by commercial collection agencies are members. The CLLA is a sponsor of the American Board of Certification (ABC) which is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors' rights law bars. The ABC has certified nearly 1,000 attorneys in consumer and business bankruptcy and creditors' rights law nationwide.


Consumer Data Industry Association

The Consumer Data Industry Association is an international trade association, founded in 1906, that represents consumer information companies that provide fraud prevention and risk management products, credit and mortgage reports, tenant and employment screening services, check fraud and verification services, and collection agencies.

CDIA represents the consumer credit reporting information industry before state and federal legislators. It also represents the industry before the media in consumer credit reporting matters.

CDIA sets industry standards and provides business and professional education for its members. It also provides educational materials for consumers regarding their credit rights and how consumer credit reporting agencies can better serve their needs.

Membership: 500 American credit reporting agencies, mortgage reporting companies, Commercial Debt Collection, check services companies, tenant screening companies and employment reporting companies.

Industry: One billion credit cards are in use in the United States today. A similar number of consumer credit reports are issued annually in the United States. Two billion pieces of data are entered monthly into credit records. Each of the consumer credit reporting systems--Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion--maintains 190 million credit files, which are used by independent credit reporting agencies across the United States.

CDIA's Mission Statement: To provide high value services that will enable consumer credit, mortgage, and other specialized reporting services and collection agency services to operate successfully and serve the needs of consumers, business, and government.

Credit Managers Association
The Credit Managers Association mission is to be the leading resource for credit and financial management and debt collection agencies by providing information, products and services for effective accounts receivable management and debt recovery by promoting professional education and development. To accomplish this, CMA provides a full array of benefits and services that extend from providing education and credit reports, to professional debt collections and adjustment services for the more distressed debtor.

Credit Research Foundation
The Credit Research Foundation is an independent, member-run organization, consisting of a dynamic community of like-minded business professionals with a vested interest in improving and fostering the field of business credit and debt recovery.

International Association of Commercial Collectors
The International Association of Commercial Collectors, Inc. (IACC) is an international trade association comprised of more than 225 debt collection agencies and 150 commercial attorneys. With members throughout the U.S. and in 38 international countries, IACC is the largest organization of commercial debt collection specialists in the world.

The mission of the International Association of Commercial Collectors is to promote the commercial debt collection profession by providing IACC members with the resources to excel in the debt collection industry.


National Association of Credit Management
The National Association of Credit Management was founded in 1896 to promote good laws for sound credit, protect businesses against fraudulent debtors, improve the interchange of credit information and debt recovery, develop better credit practices and methods, help businesses learning to collect bad debts and establish a code of ethics.

National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys
The National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving law firms engaged in collecting bad debt in retail.
